Ship collapses bridge in USA



According to initial information, a container ship caused the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland, which is part of Interstate 695, to collapse. Contrary to initial reports, the ship did not sink. Several cars are believed to have fallen into the sea when the bridge collapsed.

The Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, USA, opened in 1977 and stretches 2.6 kilometers in length. Around 12 million vehicles use this toll bridge every year. The accident also causes delays in shipping traffic on the river.
