Starting in summer 2026, travelers will be able to fly directly from Vienna to Oman for the first time. The Omani airline SalamAir will add the route between Vienna and Muscat to its schedule three times a week from June 24, 2026. This will make the capital of the Sultanate accessible from Austria without a stopover for the first time.
Flights depart Muscat on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday mornings and arrive in Vienna at midday. The return flight leaves the Austrian capital in the afternoon and reaches Muscat in the evening. Modern Airbus A321neo aircraft are used. Additional destinations in Oman, Saudi Arabia, and India can also be reached via the Muscat hub.
SalamAir was founded in 2017 and has established itself as a low-cost carrier in the region. The airline operates a modern fleet of Airbus aircraft and is continuously expanding its route network.
