Luxury hotel and leisure company Belmond has announced that the first luxury train will operate in England and Wales from July 2025. The Britannic Explorer is designed to reinterpret the British tradition of stylish travel.
Britannic Explorer will offer an exceptional experience both on board and on its itineraries. Guests can choose from three exclusive itineraries that explore England and Wales in a unique way. Destinations include the Cornish and Somerset coast, the Lake District and the picturesque Cotswolds and Wales.
The train's luxurious amenities include stylish British furnishings, a bar and an observation car. The highest cabin category is the three Grand Suites, measuring 11 m², which offer luxurious comfort: butler service, in-cabin dining and a private bathroom with a marble sink and shower cubicle. These are complemented by 15 double or twin suites, which also promise a high level of comfort with a size of around 8 m².
Prices start at around 7,000 euros per person per trip. The price includes breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, as well as a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
