As the Lufthansa Group has announced, flights to Tel Aviv (Israel) and Tehran (Iran) will resume from Thursday, September 5, 2024. The flights had previously been suspended at the beginning of August due to the conflicts in the Middle East.
Austrian Airlines announced on Monday evening that flights will resume as normal from Thursday. However, the crews of the affected routes will not remain in the relevant regions overnight. With the resumption of connections to Tehran and Tel Aviv, the last suspended routes are now back in operation. Flights to Amman (Jordan) and Erbil (Iraq) have been operating again since August 27.
Passengers who do not wish to take their flights for personal reasons despite the resumption can have tickets for flights with travel dates up to and including September 15, 2024 fully refunded, Austrian announced.
